Are you afraid to trade?

What is the opposite of Fear? The conventional wisdom on Wall Street and in trading circles says that the opposite of fear is greed. These are supposed to be the two dynamics of trading. The markets, say the pundits, is an oscillation between fear on the one hand and greed on the other.
But the real opposite of fear is confidence. Confidence is the attribute that all successful traders exhibit. And confidence comes from knowing the reliability of your own trading methodology. The more you practice one particular trading methodology, the more confident you will be in the expectation of the outcome. But this knowledge comes from using the same method over and over again, until you get it. The moral of the story is - practice until you make it automatic and then perfect it as time goes by. Good luck and stay disciplined.
